The money-transfer service earns interest on funds in its custody, but analysts say it's a drop in the bucket compared to eBay's larger revenue picture. eBay plans on implementing a hold on transferable funds for up to 21 days on all transactions that it deems "high risk". The important thing here is that they are not only holding your money, but they are earning interest on it! They will still charge you the transaction fee for the pleasure of doing business. I guess they just felt you owe them the interest on the amount too while NOT giving you a service where you can access your money in a timely fashion.

Intel 6-Core Xeon Slipped by Sun

Intel's 6-core Xeon and Nehalem CPU information was accidently make available thanks to a public server over at Sun. These gigantor processors are exciting news for those looking for more power out of the same physical space when it comes to server racks, and while we will probably eventually see a 6-core option for the home user, as of yet there is really no point to having all of those additional cores, especially if your main area of interest right now is in gaming where clock's are still king compared to the head count under your hood.

YouTube Goes Down... Seriously?

Today YouTube went down for the first time that anyone knows of. And here is the kicker; OpenDNS claims that a Pakistan telecom is to blame for hijacking YouTube's IP. It is hard to believe that a now prodigy of Google could become hijacked for nearly two hours before fixing the problem via PCCW.
With Googles big push for developing video advertising technology in this major video sandbox, you would think that they would have kept the site on better lock down. Guess we will just have to wait for further reports from Google to know the full scoop.
