Matlab serial port timeout?
I am working in a laboratory project called virtual digital oscilloscope. The hardware consists of an AVR ATMEGA32 and a MAX232 which acts as a translator between the AVR and AVR port.The PC series is scheduled to constantly read one of their channels of ADC and send it via its built-in the serial USART port.on across the history of the series is read in Matlab port serial object, fprintf and fscanf functions.I I could read a single byte of the port due to "time waiting for the operation "and the character returned is a space (''). Any ideas or solutions on how to configure the hardware or software it work?!
Because you did not complete error or MATLAB code is very difficult to be sure, "urged the use fread fscanf is better for debugging (is easier)-Check if baudrate is right and which is not very big difference between the baud rate and baud rate used by AVR theoretical real test (baudrates different) .- You probably have to use some other software for debugging these types of issues. I do not remember what I used Exact Software for Windows, but had been included on old windows, but works perfectly even on Vista. On Unix, you can use the program screen ': screen / dev/ttyUSB1 9600 vt100 for example
